The Shake

The Shake certainly are a young and scrappy guitar quartet with a good grounding in hooks and harmonies. Both their audio and their appear are comparable to the 1st influx of American power pop rings that started showing up in the past due ’70s: the Pop, the Quick, Paul Collins’ Defeat, the Knack, and additional skinny-tie rings with short razor-sharp shocks for titles, filtered through the affects of Small Steven’s Underground Garage area. The group was shaped in NEW YORK in the summertime of 2005 by high-school pals Jon Merkin (lead vocals and tempo acoustic guitar) and Eliad Shapiro (lead acoustic guitar, keyboards, and support vocals), adding bassist and support vocalist Jeremy Stein and drummer Andrew McNellis. The Tremble self-released their debut recording, Kick It, for the quartet’s personal Unicycle label in past due 2006.
