The Physics of Meaning

When he’s not really adding to St. Vincent, the Polyphonic Spree, or John Vanderslice’s music group, multi-instrumentalist Daniel Hart acts as the first choice and main songwriter for the Physics of Meaning. A classically qualified violinist, Hart spent his youngsters training Bach sonatas and carrying out in local takes on; he then found out an excitement for playwriting during university. The Physics of Meaning mixed those two passions, combining chamber pop orchestration with lyrical narratives and personality sketches. With help from a revolving cast of music artists, Hart released the North Carolina-based group in the middle-2000s using the release of the self-titled recording. Tour dates adopted, as well as the Physics of Indicating came back in 2008 with an orchestral record entitled Snake Charmer and Future on the Stroke of Midnight.
