Dan Black

Among the vanguard performers in the U.K.’s genre-swirling wonky pop motion, Dan Dark brought his mix of pop, rock and roll, dance, and hip-hop tastes to light in 2008 along with his strike one “Yours.” After spending four years playing electric guitar in the alt-rock music group the Servant, Dark still left London for Paris. The 2008 single monitor “HYPNTZ” — a variety of the lyrics through the Notorious B.We.G.’s “Hypnotize” with an example of Rihanna’s “Umbrella” underneath — announced his come back home. The cool single “By itself” became his initial official release because of the Polydor label, after that “Yours” landed by the end of the entire year. Black started 2009 by signing up for Boy Turmoil and Get good at Shortie in the U.K. Wonky Pop Tour. In July his debut record, ((El)), which highlighted the strike one “Symphonies,” premiered in the U.K. The recording was released in the U.S in Feb of 2010 and added a edition of “Symphonies” featuring vocals from Child Cudi.
