Shellshag

They crossed pathways when Johnny was an associate of the music group 50 Mil and Jen is at Static Faction, and immediately after, they teamed up to create a power pop trio known as Kung Fu USA. In 2003, they stripped back again the group and re-formed as Shellshag. Blending No Age-type sound punk and Moldy Peaches-type innocence, they toured incessantly, and obtained notice with lively sets and a distinctive existence: Jen drummed while taking a stand and Johnny finished models with explosive electric guitar feedback. Their initial album, the today out of printing Gary Youthful EP, was documented by Pavement’s Gary Youthful in 2004. Destroy Me I’m Yours implemented in 2007.
