The Painkillers

Vocalist and songwriter Cherish Alexander and drummer Billy Baker started the rock-band the Painkillers in LA, CA, close to the end of 1995. The dynamic duo quickly added guitarist Curtis Hooker and bassist Matt Boyd, to patch together a fuller sound. Each member brought his / her own efforts and encounters to the brand new group. Woman lead Alexander experienced spent period under agreement with RCA Information and caused performers like Cyndi Lauper. Baker, Hooker, and Boyd experienced all three offered as users with other rings, performing the standard club website around LA. In 1998, the Painkillers released their debut providing, a 16-monitor album titled Medication for the Spirit. The album is certainly filled with choice pop quantities like “Don’t Keep Me IN THIS MANNER,” “Hello to June,” “WHAT YOUR LOCATION IS,” and “Caffeine.” The group also finished music videos for just two of the monitors, “Damaged” and “I AM SORRY.” Other monitors were highlighted in movies; “AMONG” was found in Burt Reynolds’ film The Last Manufacturer. “SUFFICIENT” found an area in Alligator Alley. Three various other tunes in the debut were highlighted in the tv screen series The Crow: Stairway to Heaven. Many in the music business had taken notice of the first record and compensated the youthful group with mainly positive press testimonials.
