The Black

Austin, TX-based indie rock and roll outfit the Dark formed in 2002 round the skills of vocalist/songwriter David Longoria (…AND YOU’LL Know Us from the Path of Deceased), drummer Matt Simon (Voxtrot), bass participant Jason Chronis (Voxtrot), and guitarist Alan Schaefer (child of Ed Schaefer of Schaefer Guitars). The music group’s self-described mixture of “rockabilly, blues, swamp, and folk tunes” owes as very much to classic rock and roll luminaries just like the Music group as well as the Byrds since it will contemporary neo-country contemporaries like Blanche, Blitzen Trapper, and Drive-By Truckers. The Black’s debut recording, Tanglewood, found its way to 2006, accompanied by The Donna EP in 2008 as well as the full-length Sunlight in your day Moon during the night in 2010.
