Ten Years After

A DECADE After was a Uk blues-rock quartet comprising Alvin Lee (blessed Dec 19, 1944, died March 6, 2013), electric guitar and vocals; Chick Churchill (blessed January 2, 1949), keyboards; Leo Lyons (blessed November 30, 1944) bass; and Ric Lee (blessed Oct 20, 1945), drums. The group was produced in 1967 and agreed upon to Decca in Britain. Their first record was not successful, but their second, the live Undead (1968) filled with “I AM GOING House,” a six-minute blues workout with the fleet-fingered Alvin, strike the graphs on both edges from the Atlantic. Stonedhenge (1969) strike the U.K. TOP in early 1969. A DECADE After’s U.S. discovery came due to the look of them at Woodstock, of which they performed a nine-minute edition of “I AM GOING House.” Their following recording, Ssssh, reached the U.S. Best 20, and Cricklewood Green, including the strike single “Like Like a Guy,” reached number 4. Watt finished the group’s Decca agreement, and they authorized with Columbia and shifted in a far more mainstream pop path, typified from the gold-selling 1971 recording A Space over time and its Best 40 solitary “I’d Want to Modification the Globe.” Subsequent attempts in that path were less effective, however, and A DECADE After split after the launch of Positive Vibrations in 1974. They reunited in 1988 for concerts in European countries and documented their first fresh recording in 15 years, TIME, in 1989 before disbanding once more. In 2001, Ric Lee was planning the trunk catalog for re-release when he found out the Live in the Fillmore East 1970 tapes. He contacted Alvin about reconciling to market the lost recording, but Alvin Lee dropped.
