Roz Cron

b. Rosalind Cron, c.1923, Boston, Massachusetts, USA. Cron performed alto saxophone in college rings in her city where her classmates included Hal McKusick and Serge Chaloff, the last mentioned recommending her on her behalf initial professional dance music group job. She performed in numerous regional dance bands even though still in senior high school was provided, but refused, employment with Eddie Durham’s All-Star Gal Orchestra. After graduating, she proved helpful a period with Ada Leonard’s music group but then by the end of 1943 she still left to become person in the International Sweethearts Of Tempo. Cron was the next white woman to become invited in to the music group (the initial was Toby Butler) and during her years using the music group, Cron encountered all of the many issues that encountered male music artists in mixed-race rings.
