b. Rosalind Cron, c.1923, Boston, Massachusetts, USA. Cron performed alto saxophone in college rings in her city where her classmates included Hal McKusick and Serge Chaloff, the last mentioned recommending her on her behalf initial professional dance music group job. She performed in numerous regional dance bands even though still in senior high school was provided, but refused, employment with Eddie Durham’s All-Star Gal Orchestra.
