BURNT

California-based reggae-rock group BURNT came together in 2002, initially structured around Coachella Valley, relocating to NORTH PARK in 2005, and finally settling in SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA. The group’s sound mixed reggae, dub, ska, spirit, hip-hop, punk, and acoustic rock and roll, and included environmentally and politically mindful lyrics, aswell as music about partying and rest. The group preserved a totally do-it-yourself method of recording and launching music and reserving shows, playing from road sides and parks to celebrations across the Western world Coast. BURNT possess released seven full-length albums and two mixtapes independently Stems and Seed products label, you start with 2005’s Chorro. Esperanza and Tortillas both implemented in 2006, offering contributions from associates from the Debonaires and B-Side Players, aswell as MC Karmic Basis, most of whom would become regular collaborators using the group. Brains Maintain Cookin’ was released in ’09 2009, accompanied by La Quinta in 2011. Released in 2012, Radio Quemado, funded through a Kickstarter advertising campaign, was the initial BURNT album to become professionally constructed. The group’s seventh full-length record, Headlamp, found its way to 2014, a calendar year that also brought two mixtapes of live and unreleased materials, The Crimson Tape as well as the Blue Tape.
