Robert Ramsey

There is nothing known about the life span of Robert Ramsey aside from his support to Trinity University because the organist from 1628 until 1644. The compositions related to him consist of early types of British monody, motets, gathers and British chapel music. “What tears, dear Prince,” “Te Deum,” “Jubilate,” and “O arrive, why don’t we sing unto god, the father” are types of his functions in various forms. “What tears” was a track composed having a basso continuo by means of a consort that was also contained in a more substantial collection much like an early on opera or oratorio (“Dialogues of Sorrow upon the Loss of life from the Past due Prince Henrie). The “Te Deum” and “Jubilate” use lively rhythms, single applications one of the performers or instrumentalists, and harmonic experimentation. “O arrive” was obtained as an anthem with amazing and sonorous melodies and incising rhythms and motifs.
