Roadkill Ghost Choir

Roadkill Ghost Choir are an indie rock-band whose music combines the languid but emotionally charged strategy of indie rock and roll using a Southern gothic undertow, articulated through the voices of banjo and pedal metal electric guitar. Roadkill Ghost Choir had been formed by business lead vocalist and songwriter Andrew Shepard in in DeLand, Florida in 2011; Shepard have been booked to try out a solo present at an area club, but shortly decided he chosen to truly have a music group for the event. Shepard curved up a support combo from his close friends and siblings: guitarist Stephen Gaza is at a music group called Launch to Sunlight, Andrew’s brothers Zach Shepard (bass) and Maxx Shepard (drums) acquired caused the Quiet Guys, as do pedal metal and banjo guy Kiffy Meyer, and Joe Davoli on tips and trumpet acquired performed in the group Loud Valley. The music artists were happy with the display and made a decision to continue functioning jointly, and Roadkill Ghost Choir had been born. The music group earned a popularity in Florida and started touring through the entire South and East Coastline, and in 2013, the group released a Kickstarter-funded EP, Tranquil Light. The EP received enthusiastic testimonials, so that as positive person to person begun to spread, Roadkill Ghost Choir started landing larger and better bookings, including performances on the Austin Town Restricts and Governor’s Ball celebrations, and an area on The Later Present with David Letterman. in 2013, Roadkill Ghost Choir started focus on their 1st full-length recording, though shortly after the classes were completed the group was pared right down to a quintet from the departure of Joe Davoli. In the summertime of 2014, the music group released In Tongues and lay out to get more touring, including looks in the Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza celebrations.
