Paul Taylor

Long an essential portion of Memphis’ vibrant 21st century music scene, multi-instrumentalist and producer Paul Taylor has constantly followed his personal feeling of direction. The child of the Memphis musician and studio room engineer, Taylor spent his young years dangling with additional second-generation Memphis music artists, playing gigs by enough time he was 14 years of age, starting his 1st music group with classmate Steve Selvidge (later on of Big Ass Pickup truck). Taylor fulfilled brothers Luther and Cody Dickinson through Selvidge, with 16, was playing drums (he previously gotten his initial trap package when he was just two years previous) with them in the music group DDT, which developed a loyal enthusiast pursuing in the Memphis area. Taylor documented a solo task in 2001 but opted never to discharge it, then documented a second single task, but shelved that, aswell. Contacted by previous Memphis musician Kurt Gunn about an interactive internet site he was developing, Taylor delivered him some demos of music he was focusing on at that time. Gunn found Memphis and became a member of Taylor at his house studio room with engineer Kevin Houston, and during the period of five times, Taylor recorded another solo project, Open up Closed, playing just about any instrument and be aware himself using a surveillance camera capturing the complete process.
