Reptar

Having a sound that’s as exuberant since it is infectious, Athens, Georgia dance-rock quartet Reptar have already been scuffing up dancefloors given that they formed in 2008. Featuring the skills of Andrew McFarland, Ryan Engelberger, Graham Ulicny, and William Kennedy, the music group brings danceable digital rock in to the contemporary era having a audio that evokes the traditional synth-drenched funk of Prince and densely split dance-pop of rings like Enthusiasm Pit. The music group toured for any couple years, providing buzzworthy shows at showcases like South by Southwest, before getting the party to the people using its debut EP, Oblangle Fizz Y’all, in 2011. Reptar became a member of forces with maker Ben Allen (Pet Collective, Deerhunter, BEATEN UP) for his or her full-length debut, Body Tap, which arrived the next Might on Vagrant. The music group toured and documented on / off for the next 2 yrs. Ulicny and Kennedy’s digital side task released the eponymous recording L()()K in 2013, and McFarland and Engelberger released Blown Air flow, Grown Lawn and We Are Area of the Globe using their Athens-based indie folk music group, Semicircle, in 2014. In early 2015, Reptar authorized to indie rock and roll label Joyful Sound Recordings. Documented and co-produced by Andy LeMaster (Conor Oberst, Drive-By Truckers), their sophomore LP, the greater crackling Lurid Shine, premiered that spring.
