Delivered in Kyoto, Rei Harakami studied film and initially wished to pursue a profession writing scores; nevertheless, a demonstration tape of his digital material delivered to the Sublime label garnered him the chance to remix Ken Ishii and, afterwards, to seem on the quantity label’s Trance-Pacific Express compilation. Harakami’s debut record, Unrest, was released in 1998, collecting functions recorded dating back to 1995; Opa 9 premiered the following season.
