Pyyramids

A collaboration between OK Go’s Tim Nordwind and He Say, She Say’s Drea Smith, Pyyramids borrows components of each member’s various other project without sounding the same as anything else within their bodies of work. After an launch via a shared friend, the set bonded more than a distributed love for Uk post-punk and started writing songs jointly. Their debut EP, 2001’s HUMANS, introduced Pyyramids’ mixture of Smith’s effective vocals and Nordwind’s agreements. The duo documented their debut record in Nordwind’s studio room, with Dave Fridmann and Nordwind’s Fine Move bandmate Dan Konopka helping with additional mixing up and recording responsibilities. The effect, Brightest Darkest Time, premiered in Apr 2013 on OK Go’s very own Paracadute Records.
