Nephasth

Brazilian death metallic band Nephasth was founded in the town of Porto Alegre in 1997 by guitarists Rafael Barros and Marcos Moura, bassist/vocalist Fabio Lentiono, and drummer Mauricio Weimar. Originally heading from the name Interior Spirit, the band documented a five-song demonstration which received them great favour within the tape-trading underground and resulted in periodic touring with fellow on-the-rise Brazilian loss of life metal rings like Krisiun and Rebaelliun. Right now seriously gathering vapor, the group used the name Nephasth in 1999 and documented a self-financed EP entitled The Merciless Encounter of Evil the next year. Its songs were later presented in Relapse Information’ extremely popular Brazilian Assault compilation — which nearly single-handedly introduced the brand new Influx of Brazilian Loss of life Metal for an unsuspecting globe. Subsequently, this exposure resulted in a cope with Mercenary Musik, which released their worldwide debut, Immortal Unholy Triumph, in 2001.
