Biography

Lunchbox can be an indie pop trio from Berkeley, CA, led by vocalist/songwriter and guitarist Tim Dark brown, alongside bassist Donna McKean, along with a revolving door of drummers, especially Marty Kelly, Hugh Howie, and Jon Brahm. After developing in 1994, the trio released its self-titled debut on San Francisco’s UNHAPPY label in 1996. Though that recording was mainly three-chord mod-pop within the custom of early Jam information, by enough time of the second recording, 1998’s The Magic of Sound, Lunchbox got reworked their audio to add a summery retro-electronic sheen comparable to contemporaneous Stereolab and Large Llamas albums.
