Long Time Comin’

An obscure footnote from Vancouver, BC’s early ’70’s music roster, this foursome included Mike Bosley (songwriter and lead guitarist); Gary Webstad (bass); Jerry Lipinski (tempo electric guitar); and Howie Atherton (drums). The music group lower “Paper Rose” (1970) and “AREA OF THE Period” (1972) as singles for the neighborhood S.G.M. label; various other self-penned repertoire included “Crazy” and “Downhill Slope.” In its folky California electric guitar stylings, “Paper Rose” hearkens back again to Nature and Moby Grape; while “AREA OF THE Season” can be fuzz-funk with a far more contemporary seventies experience. Like a lot of their contemporaries, the group vanished with out a track. Their two-single legacy resurfaced, nevertheless, on the annals Of Vancouver Rock and roll, Quantity 4 (Vancouver Record Enthusiasts’ Association VRCA 004, 1991).
