Country Pie

Prior to the British duo of Chas Hodges and Dave Peacock initiated a documenting career beneath the name Chas & Dave, these were in an early project called Country Pie. The 1971 Nation Pie LP, documented in three hours and released on a spending budget label, was an uncannily accurate imitation of Jerry Lee Lewis’ past due-’60s/early-’70s function, though much less good (and definitely not as unique) as Lewis himself. All 12 from the tracks out of this uncommon LP had been reissued within the 2007 Compact disc compilation Nation Pies, Dark Claws & Oily Rags, which also contains the 1974 recording that Chas & Dave released as Oily Rags, two 1971 paths by Dark Claw which Peacock performed, and two 1975 Chas & Dave demos.
