Liekki

Liekki (Fire) were formed by two members of the favorite Karkkiautomaatti (Candymatic) following the group disbanded in 1999. Janne Kuusela (vocalist, guitarist, songwriter) and drummer Vesa Lehto had been joined up with by bass participant Teemu Soininen and keyboardist Okke Komulainen, a veteran who is a person in such other rings as Bomfunk MC’s, Sleepy Sleepers, and Leningrad Cowboys. The group’s initial album, Magio, premiered in the springtime of 2001 to substantial essential acclaim, and their mix of hypnotic prog rock and roll with an increase of traditional vocalist/songwriter materials was also graciously received by the general public. Lehto remaining the band quickly later on and was changed on the next Compact disc by Juha Kulmala. Released in 2003, Korppi (The Crow) improved on its forerunner. Their moody pop audio with quasi-mystical components was intensified by the brand new drummer, as well as the band’s recognition gained traction. Common Music authorized the music group in 2004. Rajan Piirsin Taa (I Drew the Range Behind) premiered in 2005 to growing critical and well-known interest, and was accompanied by 2007’s Kalliot leikkaa (The Hillsides Cut), which added some rock elements with their sound.
