Julie Murphy

The lead singer of popular folk-rock band, Eddie From Ohio, Julie Murphy has recorded two solo albums of show tunes and pop standards. Advanced Woman, which features tracks by George and Ira Gershwin, Cole Porter, Jerome Kern, Billie Vacation, Stephen Sondheim, and Nat Ruler Cole, was documented in the Birchmere in Alexandria, VA, through the 1st two single concerts of Murphy’s profession. In overview of the record, the Washington Post composed, “the album’s name identifies Murphy’s elegant pop demeanor, though, honestly, her voice may also polish brassy, dreamy, sultry, and hip.” Another solo record, No Rules, implemented in 1999. A HRIM main at Virginia Technology, Murphy became a member of with three graduates of Adam Madison School, Robbie Shaefer, Eddie Hartness and Mike Clem, to create Eddie From Ohio in 1991. Originally focusing on playing cover music in bars within the Washington, D.C., the group continues to be increasingly building it is national pursuing since signing using a reservation agent in 1996. Furthermore to handling a lot of the band’s business lead vocals, Wells manages the group’s accounts and merchandising. Wells was wedded to Greg Wells on Oct 3, 1997. Their kid, Liam Murphy Wells, was created in Feb 2000.
