Jason Sharp

Located in Montreal, baritone/bass saxophonist and composer Jason Sharp became area of the city’s experimental music scene. He started playing saxophone at 12, later on finding jazz while in senior high school. Clear started writing his personal music at university or college, and he continued to study structure, generating a Master’s level at Conservatorium vehicle Amsterdam. While surviving in the Dutch capital, he immersed himself in the traditional and digital music moments of the town, which influenced his very own music. Along with his sax playing he begun to explore the partnership between inhaling and exhaling and heartrate. When he came back to Montreal, he began to collaborate with several notable performers. He documented with Thee Sterling silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra, was component of Sam Shalabi’s Property of Kush orchestra, and Matana Roberts’ Gold coin Coin Section One. In 2016, he released his initial album-length studio documenting. A Fishing boat Upon Its Bloodstream takes its name from a Robert Creeley poem known as The Center, and Clear used custom-built devices to translate breathing and heartrate alongside traditional instrumentation on his genre-defying debut. The record highlighted Josh Zubot on violin and Joe Lawn on pedal metal guitar, and premiered in Sept 2016 through the Montreal-based label Constellation.
