Innovations began in 2013 being a cooperation between Eluvium’s Matthew Cooper and Tag T. Smith of instrumental post-rock music group Explosions in the Sky. Both had always been close friends and both acquired albums using their particular bands over the Brief Home Ltd. label when Innovations was conceived. Also notably, during Inventions’ development, Cooper hadn’t performed in the framework of anything apart from solo result since taking part in the obligatory cellar punk rings as an adolescent, and Smith hadn’t performed in any clothing apart from Explosions in the Sky given that they got their begin in the past due ’90s.
