Hard Left

Combining a proudly leftist political outlook using the ferocious punk charge of rings want Stiff Little Hands, Cockney Rejects, as well as the Dils plus a classic Mod visual approach, the Oakland-based quartet Hard Remaining were created in early 2014 and quickly released two singles, “What’s That Appear?” and “Security.” The music group was composed of indie rock and roll mainstays Mike Schulman (of Dark Tambourine and Slumberland Information) on vocals, Tim Dark brown and Donna McKean of Lunchbox on acoustic guitar and bass, respectively, and Stewart Anderson of Boyracer (and one thousand additional tasks) on drums. (At chosen concert events where Anderson couldn’t make it up from his house in Az, Mario Hernandez of Children on a Criminal offense Spree packed in on drums.) Past due in 2014, the music group collected in Flagstaff, Az for intense saving sessions that led to an inspiring Xmas song (“Skinheads House for Xmas”), songs for the split one with Poor Daddies, and a full-length record. Released by Upcoming Ideal in early 2015, We Are Hard Still left highlighted the band’s politics beliefs noisy and apparent, but added a wholesome dosage of fun towards the proceedings, as well. Released at exactly the same time was Edition Excursion, a cassette tape of jungle and dub remixes of music from the record performed by Echo Wanderer and Downpour.
