The Ripps

A rough-and-ready three-piece from the uk, the Ripps began attracting attention in the Uk music press in 2006 because of their cheeky attitude and hooky, high-energy music. The Ripps had been produced in Coventry, a city in the Western world Midlands whose best-known musical export was the Special deals. The Ripps had been produced by guitarist and business lead vocalist Patch Lagunas and his sibling Raul Lagunas on bass and support vocals; their parents had been Chilean expatriates who fled their homeland instead of live beneath the fascist rule of Gen. Augusto Pinochet, which doubtless informs the band’s rebellious character. Teaming up with drummer and support vocalist Rachel Butt, who acquired went to the same college as the brothers, the Ripps began winning supporters and impressing music authors using their frantic concert events and tracks that swayed backwards and forwards between street-smart protest and comic rabble-rousing. The group’s 1st solitary, “Vandal,” premiered in nov 2006 on Catskill Information, and a full-length recording, Very long Live the Ripps, adopted in early 2007.
