Ham1

Ham1, located in Athens, GA, was founded by vocalist/songwriter and guitarist Jim Willingham, a reading instructor. Willingham, a previous person in the rings Harey Carey and Crown Vic, was a self-described “wounded veteran from the Athens hard rock and roll scene from the middle-’90s.” He relocated to Florida for any year to recuperate from those wounds, even though living there became thinking about easy hearing and soundtrack music becoming played on an area radio station. Time for Athens, he created an instrumental music group, the Prince Rondavels, with another instructor, Chris Sugiuchi, who performed trombone and percussion. They later on created Ham1, using numerous local music artists as guests. At among their shows, these were noticed by drummer and organist Eric Harris from the music group Olivia Tremor Control, and he became the 3rd permanent person in Ham1. The trio self-released its self-titled debut recording on November 15, 2005. The Captain’s Desk, Ham1’s second record, premiered by Orange Twin in 2007. By enough time the LP The Underground Stream premiered by Infinity Kitty Recordings in 2008, the group acquired expanded to some quartet by adding Jacob Morris on cello, keyboards, and vocals. In addition they had documented with and supported Liz Durrett and offered as Vic Chestnutt’s touring music group.
