Gregory Alan Isakov

Vocalist/songwriter Gregory Alan Isakov was created in Johannesburg, South Africa and raised in Philadelphia, Pa, where he began touring having a music group at age 16 before eventually relocating to Colorado to hone his chops like a single artist. Influenced from the rural blue-collar lyricism of performers like Bruce Springsteen, Kelly Joe Phelps, and Leonard Cohen, it wasn’t a long time before Isakov’s personal mixture of dusty folk and moody Americana started turning mind. He released his debut recording, Rust Colored Rocks, in 2003, accompanied by Tunes for Oct (2005), That Ocean, the Gambler (2007), as well as the Empty North Hemisphere (2009), the second option which spawned the solitary “EASILY Proceed, I’m Goin,” which made an appearance in the 4th season of the favorite Showtime series Californication. Arriving in 2013, The Weatherman included the singles “Period Will Inform” and “Suitcase Filled with Sparks,” the second option which was presented with an episode of the favorite NBC criminal offense thriller The Blacklist, and in 2016 he released the ambitious Gregory Alan Isakov using the Colorado Symphony, which noticed him reworking materials from previous albums with a complete orchestra.
