Future Clouds & Radar

Masterminded in 2006 by former Cotton Mather frontman Robert Harrison, Upcoming Clouds & Radar developed some sort of eclectic, ecstatic indie pop sound that nodded towards the psychedelic swirliness of XTC as well as the Beatles, the punchy soulfulness of Elvis Costello, as well as the good-natured brass and sparkle from the Starlight Mints. Rounded out by bassist Josh Gravelin, keyboardist Hollie Thomas, drummer Nina Singh, and vibraphonist/trumpeter Kullen Fuchs, the Austin-based group released its self-titled double-disc debut full-length in the springtime of 2007. They implemented it up with a far more modest EP entitled Peoria in the fall of 2008.
