Fancey

Best known like a guitarist for Vancouver’s indie rock and roll supergroup the brand new Pornographers (he joined in 2002 and played on the 2003 record, Electric powered Edition), Todd Fancey was also an associate of Limblifter and played bass on the 2000 launch, Bellaclava. Originally hailing from Nova Scotia, Fancey was in lots of bands before becoming a member of Limblifter, including Macabre, Sunshower, Virgin Lust, Jack port Tripper, and Flavor of Pleasure. In 2004, he released his single project beneath the name Fancey for March Information. Sketching on his like of ’70s AM pop and rings just like the Association, Sagittarius, and Stereolab, and with help from close friends Kurt Dahle and Sara Lapsley, the record was an auspicious debut. He adopted up in 2007 with another solo work, Schmancey, building on his retro-inspired pop. While he’d remain energetic touring and documenting another three LPs with the brand new Pornographers, a complete decade would move before Fancey came back for another circular with 2017’s Like Mirage.
