Japanese kitsch-pop, nostalgic mixes of big music group, golf swing, and general quirkiness, was probably best conceived from the Pizzicato Five. Though they released several albums within their early years, you start with 1998’s Blue Loudspeaker, they only accomplished wide acknowledgement with 2001’s Midnight Dejavu.
