Darren Criss

Professional/musician Darren Criss joined up with the ensemble of Glee in November 2010. Originally employed as a visitor superstar, he became a string regular weeks after his initial event, when the Glee edition of Katy Perry’s “Teenage Wish” — offering Criss on business lead vocals, with back-up harmonies from collegiate a cappella group the Beelzebubs — as the present’s initial single to best the digital graphs. Delivered in 1987, Criss spent his youth working as a specialist stage professional in SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA and playing music along with his sibling, Chuck Criss, who later on became a member of Freelance Whales. Darren enrolled in the University or college of Michigan in 2004, where he analyzed performing and helped discovered a student-run theatre troupe named Group StarKid. AN EXTREMELY Potter Musical, a musical humor that spoofed the Harry Potter franchise and starred Criss in the titular part, became Group StarKid’s most well-known display, racking up a lot more than 25 million sights on YouTube and catapulting Criss (who’d also created a lot of the music) in to the limelight. After graduating in ’09 2009, he starred in five shows of ABC’s Eastwick, produced a visitor appearance on Chilly Case, and released a self-produced EP, Human being, almost a year before his Glee debut.
