Colonies

Colonies took form in 2006, when bandmates Travir Shumate (vocals, electric guitar), Christian Forces (electric guitar), and Adam Meeks (bassist) rounded out their existing lineup with drummer Adrian Centoni. Shumate, Forces, and Meeks got played together for quite some time, as well as the music group wasted short amount of time carving out an atmospheric indie rock and roll sound. Recording periods for the initial Colonies EP occurred that summertime, with manufacturer Randy Wheeler hosting the music group at his house studio. The ensuing record, Rest Patterns, premiered in August 2007, as well as the music group toured sporadically while composing material because of its first full-length discharge, Thirty Thousand.
