Along with Shirley Joiner and Carl Preacher, gospel vocalist Brenda Waters shaped the Southeast Inspirational Youth Choir in the ’70s, which helped pioneer contemporary gospel music within a church placing. She also caused Donald Lawrence, showing up on his 1993 debut record A Songwriter’s VIEWPOINT. Waters released her very own single debut, Believers & Close friends, in 1999 in the Crystal Rose label.
