Bob Ferguson

b. 30 Dec 1927, Willow Springs, Missouri, USA, d. 22 July 2001, Jackson, Mississippi, USA. Employed in nation music for quite some time Ferguson was referred to as a performer and, especially, being a songwriter. He documented many solo edges for Challenge Information and Columbia Information, and also made an appearance with his music group, the Scalawagers. He constructed lots of the music in his repertoire, occasionally using the name Bob Miller. Among Ferguson’s recordings, many of that are accounts of current circumstances and news products, are ‘I Desire I USED TO BE Single Once again’, ‘Crazy Costs Jones’, ‘Railroad Daddy’, ‘Thrills WHICH I Can’t Ignore’, ‘Eleven Cent Natural cotton, Forty Cent Meats’, ‘Anna Might’, ‘Clover Blossoms’, ‘Maintain On Keeping On’, ‘The Carroll State Incident’, ‘The Farmer’s Notice To The Leader’, ‘They’re Dangling Aged Jonesy Tomorrow’, ‘Prisoner’s Notice TOWARDS THE Governor’, ‘The Small Crimson Caboose Behind The Teach’, ‘Loan company Failures’, ‘Crazy And Reckless Hobo’, ‘The Criminal offense Of Harry Capabilities’, ‘What Will The Deep Ocean State?’, ‘Loss of life Of Jack Hip and legs Gemstone’, ‘The Unmarked Grave’, ‘Dry out Votin’ Damp Drinkers’, ‘Fifty Years Repentin’’ and ‘Right now there’s A FRESH Superstar Up In Heaven (Baby Lindy Is Up Right now there)’. Ferguson also documented with Charlotte Miller, ‘Corn Pone And Container Likker’, and Shelby Performers, ‘No one To Like’ and ‘The Tone of voice In The Aged Village Choir’. Of most his tracks, perhaps the most widely known is certainly ‘Wings OF THE Dove’, that was a big strike for Ferlin Husky. In old age, Ferguson became a much-respected A&R guy and producer doing work for many businesses, including RCA Information. Performers with whom he proved helpful in these capacities consist of Chet Atkins, Jim Ed Dark brown, Archie Campbell, Glen Campbell, Patsy Cline, Danny Davis AS WELL AS THE Nashville Brass, George Hamilton IV, Vernon Oxford, Dolly Parton, Connie Smith and Porter Wagoner.
