Composed of Angelika Siman on harp, Thomas Schindl on vibraphone, Julia Bartha on piano, and Holger Michalski on increase bass, the Blue Chamber Quartet was shaped in 2005 by classically qualified music artists from Vienna and Göttingen who have been thinking about showcasing their talents in jazz and international music. The group’s debut efficiency in the 2007 Carrick Drinking water Music Event in Ireland resulted in its first Compact disc on Stockfisch Information, First Impressions. This year’s 2009 documenting of Chick Corea: Children’s Tracks was adopted in 2015 by Rhapsody in Blue on Coviello, an recording of music by Leonard Bernstein, Isaac Albéniz, Tag Glentworth, Allen Shawn, and George Gershwin. In repertoire that runs from Sergey Prokofiev to Astor Piazzolla, the quartet attacks an equilibrium between styles, though its focus on jazz improvisation and Latin-American rhythms provides increased its reputation being a crossover group.
