Blondfire

Michigan indie rock and roll outfit Blondfire was made by sibling set, Erica and Bruce Driscoll. Previously referred to as Astaire, the brother-and-sister duo transformed their name to Blondfire to avoid any potential legal inconveniences in the iconic actor’s property. Though their name acquired transformed, they held the band’s audio the same, keeping the dreamy and special electronic-tinged pop that taken to brain the Cardigans and Metric. They agreed upon briefly with EMI in 2006, but still left the label before completing their initial full-length beneath the Blondfire name, My Someday, that they released separately independently Tender Tender Hurry label in 2008. Blondfire ultimately agreed upon with Warner in 2012, and in nov that season released an EP, Where in fact the Children Are, which discovered the music group breaking onto the Billboard graphs. The four music on that EP would continue to feature on the sophomore LP, Little Heart, that was released in 2014. In 2015, Bruce parted methods along with his sister to spotlight his own music group, the indie pop clothing Independence Fry. Erica continuing as a single artist beneath the Blondfire moniker, launching another EP in 2016 entitled True Confessions.
