Founded in 2007 by singer Richard Carter and guitarist Andreas Yiasmoumi when their previous rings dropped apart, Hertsfordshire, England’s Blackhole firmed up its lineup using the imminent arrival of second guitarist Nick Mitchell, drummer Alex Hunt, and bassist Max Hart. Fast-forward 2 yrs and one individually documented four-track EP later on, and the younger quintet was occupied documenting their debut recording, Deceased Hearts, with name maker Colin Richardson (Slipknot, Machine Mind, etc.), building upon their hardcore origins with more industrial influences like option and indie rock and roll.
