Miami garage music group the Modds was shaped in early 1965 by guitarist John Mascaro, bassist Don Ricketts and drummer Dewey Relationship, who previously teamed in the Uk Invasion cover music group the Deltonas. Vocalist Dean Liapis and business lead guitarist Bob Nimer curved out the lineup, which honed its mixture of pop and R&B addresses at regional frat celebrations and dancehalls aswell as the Miami Seaside resorts the Americana as well as the Deuville.
