All Smiles

Following breakup of beloved indie rock and roll combo Grandaddy in 2006, guitarist Jim Fairchild made a decision to have a low-key course toward releasing his next task. After relocating to Chicago, Fairchild constructed a modest house recording set up (eight paths, reel-to-reel analog) and started working up brand-new tracks, with Fairchild managing lots of the musical instruments and singing business lead for the very first time. While traveling america, Fairchild recruited a number of friends and co-workers to include their efforts to his tapes, including Joe Plummer of Modest Mouse as well as the Dark Center Procession, Janet Weiss of Sleater-Kinney and Quasi, and Solon Bixler of Great North. By using manufacturer Brian Deck, Fairchild constructed his recordings into an record, Ten Readings of the Caution, which he acknowledged towards the group name All Smiles. Dangerbird Information released Ten Readings of the Warning within the springtime of 2007, and everything Smiles hit the street to get the recording, touring in tandem with Menomena.
