Abandon

Before switching to a mixture of slick CCM and danceable alt-rock, the founding members of Depart — brothers Josh and Justin Engler, along with cousins Dave and Stevan Vela — played worship music at their cathedral in San Antonio, Tx. They ultimately graduated to secular night clubs, where these were became a member of by bassist Ryan Reavis. Churches, youngsters camps, and various other religious venues continued to be Abandon’s loaf of bread and butter, though, plus they backed their early travels with income generated off their two self-released albums, Ambush and Who You Are. By the finish of 2007, Drop got shuffled their lineup and agreed upon with Forefront Information. They released two EPs for the label, Depart and Depart II, prior to making their full-length debut with 2009’s Searchlights, a Dove-nominated assortment of ballads and epic, reverent rock and roll numbers. Control implemented in 2011.
