Aa

A fixture of Brooklyn’s experimental rock and roll scene because the mid-2000s, Aa (pronounced “big a, small a”) blend restless polyrhythms with components of digital, psychedelic, hardcore, and pop music. Founding percussionists/keyboardists Aron Wahl, Josh Bonati, and John Atkinson are became a member of by a spinning cast of helping players on produces like the band’s 2004 Narnack debut All Battle On a regular basis and 2007’s gAame. After spending many years touring and on various other projects, Aa came back with songs in 2014 with VoyAager, that they documented in Southern France, L.A., NJ, and Brooklyn with co-producer Billy Pavone. The band’s 4th record, 2016’s ZebrAa, mixed the energy of three drummers with designed beats.
