E. Bias

Borrowing through the heyday of ’80s home, techno, and new wave, E. Bias features vocalist/keyboardist Richard Youngs, keyboardist Luke Fowler, vocalist Sam Wolk, and drummer Paul Thomson. During his decades-long profession, Youngs spent some time working with performers including Matthew Bower and Makoto Kawabata; Fowler can be a visual musician and filmmaker, and Thomson may be the drummer for Franz Ferdinand and AMOR. The group collaborated on a couple of songs telling the storyplot of Emmanuel Maggi, a imaginary Italian factory employee who became an electric musician in the ’80s and delivered demos for his unreleased debut record for Youngs to complete. E. Bias’ Emmanuel Bias EP found its way to early 2017 on Kick + Clap, the label of Django Django’s Dave Maclean. Following the E. Bias periods finished, Youngs, Fowler, and Thomson recruited dual bassist Michael Francis Duch and continuing in an identical vein as AMOR.
