Fuzzed-out shoegaze trio Helen was the task of Liz Harris, Scott Simmons, and Jed Binderman. Harris, who’s best known on her behalf beautiful ambient are Grouper (and in addition has collaborated with Tiny Vipers’ Jesy Fortino as Mirroring, among various other projects), linked to Simmons and Binderman in 2013 to record Helen’s debut one Felt This Method/Dying On a regular basis. The single appeared that Sept via Exile Information and Harris’ very own YELLOWELECTRIC imprint. The music group documented its debut record The Original Encounters over many years, and Kranky released it in Sept 2015.
