Arctic Cool

Arctic Great began in early 2000 like a collaboration between Barry Becket and Fred Waltz as a means of keeping themselves amused in their little, coastal city of Cordova, AK. Having a quirky instrumentation of flute, saxophone (Beckett), acoustic guitar, and drum machine (Weltz), Arctic Great has a audio all their have that combines rock and roll, jazz, and bluegrass having a stripped-down creation that “utilizes woodstove and pc systems.” The second option was showcased on the self-released, self-titled 2001 debut documenting, which was documented within a friend’s attic.
