Cedars

Sharing a like for rings like Doves, Elbow, as well as the Remedy, Cedars created in Washington, D.C., in early 2004 beneath the name Cartel and presented Brian Leatherman (vocals/acoustic guitar), Luke Mangels (acoustic guitar/key pad), Francisco Lazzaro (bass), and Ed Barnabas (drums). The Security in Figures EP surfaced in Sept 2004, including two singles released in the U.K. by Bracken Information. In nov 2005, the music group transformed its name to Cedars. In Sept 2006 another EP showed up, titled Another Time of year, and a large break arrived for Cedars if they opened up for Editors within their home city.
