Alfred Bruneau

Bruneau studied with Massenet on the Paris Conservatoire. He constructed generally for the stage, and every one of the librettos for his operas had been created in prose by Zola. He was inspired by Wagner and Berlioz, and his stop triad sequences, entire shade harmonies and plainsong components were later produced by Debussy. Bruneau also had written many tracks, among that your =Chants de la vie= (1913) are believed to be the very best. He also added frequently to French publications.
