Alfred Harris

b. perhaps Mississippi, USA. An obscure harmonica participant and vocalist, Alfred Harris (aka Blues Ruler Harris or Johnny Harris) documented on three different events in the 50s, every time under a different name. The initial, in 1950 or 1951, was throughout a field trip with the Bihari Brothers, in Mississippi, Arkansas or Tennessee, and highlighted Harris with another guitarist, playing acoustic, in an exceedingly down-home style. A couple of years later there is a program in Chicago, with Adam Bannister and Earl Dranes, in a far more electric, urban design. Neither of the two classes was released until a long time later. Finally, there is an individual, also documented in Chicago, in 1956.
