Men of Standard

The contemporary gospel quartet Guys of Regular comprised vocalists Michael Bacon, Isaac Carree, Bryan Pierce and Lowell Pye. The group was originally shaped by Carree and Pye, both veterans of John P. Kee’s NEW LEASE OF LIFE Community Choir, in tandem with Pierce, a previous Youngsters Pastor at New Orleans’ Greater St. Stephens cathedral; after a couple of roster adjustments, the line-up really gelled by adding Bacon, a observed manufacturer in his indigenous Dallas. Made by David Caldwell, Guys of Standard’s self-titled debut record appeared in the Muscle tissue Shoals Sound label in 1996; FEELS AS THOUGH Rain followed 3 years later.
