Besides saving several respected EPs for String Reaction beneath the confusingly titled creation concern referred to as Various Performers, Berlin’s Thorsten Profrock co-owns (with Sasha Brauer) Din Information, home to produces by excellent, respected manufacturers Monolake, Pole, and Arovane. Profrock inserted the Berlin consumer electronics picture first by purchasing on the Berlin record shop Hard Polish while functioning toward his economics level. By 1994, he proved helpful at Hard Polish as well, developing nearer to the store’s bottom for renowned productions on the essential Channel/Chain Reaction category of brands. Profrock also started making and released his 1st Various Performers task, 1995’s 1-7, on String Response. (He also documented two singles for the label as Resilient and Erosion.) The continuation piece 8, 8.5, 9 made an appearance on England’s NOUVEAU RICHE BUSINESSMAN label in 1997, highlighting the producer’s subtle ambient feeling and reliance on the restrictive frequency range — all middles, no highs or lows. Later on that year, String Reaction put together his focus on the Decay Item compilation, and NOUVEAU RICHE BUSINESSMAN extended 8, 8.5, 9 for an EP for Profrock’s second Compact disc release.
