The Swedish indie pop ensemble Vapnet’s song “Kalla Mig,” released on the debut EP, 2005’s Ge Dom Vald (PROVIDE THEM WITH Violence), earned regular rotation about Swedish Radio P3 the summertime it had been released and continued to became popular using the Swedish indie crowd. Going up by Siberia’s Martin Abrahamsson and supported by the sprightly multi-instrumental skills of Martin Hanberg (also of Siberia), Anna Modin, Philip Gates (Times), David Hansson, Stefan Stromberg, Per-Olof Stjernered, Jesper Hedin, and David Nygard, the veritable indie pop military that’s Vapnet developed a whimsical, nearly cartoony audio that nodded towards the Concretes and I’m from Barcelona. Vapnet released their debut full-length, Jag Veterinarian Hur Guy Väntar (I UNDERSTAND How to Wait around), the next spring, that was adopted quickly by “Thoméegränd,” the business lead solitary from that recording. “Thoméegränd” adopted in the footsteps of “Kalla Mig,” making a substantial amount of radio play throughout Sweden. Något Dåligt Nytt Har Hänt, a mini-album, adopted in 2007; the recording featured visitor vocals by Jens Lekman. Vapnet’s third full-length and 1st studio recording, Döda Fallet, arrived in 2008.
